Gatorade Tiger?

Woods will have his own sports drink in a licensing deal with Gatorade...Just last week Tiger Woods signed a contract with Gatorade, and now Gatorade is making a new drink called "Gatorade Tiger." Tiger Woods has had so many different accomplishments this year and making a new drink for Gatorade is a big accomplishment. A couple of months ago Tiger's dad had died and over those months Tiger has won 12 out of 15 tournaments. With this Gatorade signing Tiger could get paid up to 100 Million and no less then 10 million. "Gatorade has been a big part of my game plan for years, whether I'm training or competing, so its a great match," Woods said in one of his statements. To me Tiger actually has had an impact on my life a lot. I started playing golf at age 8 and every year he just inspired me to keep playing and i still am to this day. Now i will start drinking Gatorade Tiger a lot to support my biggest Idol.

You Tube 101

Many people these days go to you tube either to submit their own video's or find some laughs. Lately people have used it for education and learning, I read in this article...You Tube 101. More and more people have been using it learn things. On you tube they have many things you can look up to learn and think about. For example people teach dances, card tricks, magic, tricks, they show video's of how to do anything. I know I use it to cheer me up when I'm mad, and now I'm going to find that education will start helping me from You Tube. Think about it when the next time you go to you tube take a minute and look up something for your education.

Google What?

A Google Earth Odyssey...This article caught my attention when i think of our technology. When did just Google come out? Now there is tons of stuff like Google Earth, Google Reader, etc. Also, with this site Blogger it gives us a way as student's and teacher's can communicate. these students have been creating a Google Earth Journey based on Odysseus's journey. I believe with this new technology we have accomplished to create we will be able to do anything and everything with our resources. If you want to know anything you look it up on our universal Internet. There are so many things we have created that will turn into something no one could ever imagine, and it will help us in everything we need.

Why is the World against other races?

Belgian jailed for race killings... I have just been reading this article over racism when I saw this. A teenager is being sentenced to life imprisonment after killing a Malian nanny and her two year-old because they were of a different race. After I read this article I thought to myself, why in this world do we discriminate other's? Is it because all we care about is ourselves or because we think they are as good as we are? A little further into the article it says he was stopped when a policeman shot him in the stomach. Are policemen our heroes? What if the cop is a different race? I think racism is just the worst thing something could do. All people are the same and whether you black, white, Mexican or any other race we are all equal and should not treat each other the way we do. Racism it's a problem in our world, but can we stop it?

124 arrested for Steroid use

U.S. Arrests 124 in Raids on Global Steroid Ring i have just read this great article about police officer's arresting 124 people for use steroids and other drugs. Over the past month officers have collected 1.4 million steroid dosage units in 56 cities across the US. I believe stuff like this is a perfect example of why its illegal. When drugs are spread out through the cities more and more people will get hooked and addicted. Why do people want to ruin there bodies and there lives? Is it to be cool, or do they do it because depression and other issues.

These people who had been arrested to me are stupid. Why do something if you are going to regret it. Like why steal something, why smoke, why ruin your sports career with drugs/steroids ,why anything that will bite you in the butt later in life. I still ,today, don't understand why people would want to do this to themselves. If you were one of these people and they asked you would you give in to peer pressure.

Classroom's of the Future

Classrooms for the Future...Yes i just read it "Redesigning Education," do those words make sense. Is it possible to redesign education? When we think of education, we think of the way we learn and how it applies, but for this group of coaches in Pennsylvania they are beginning a new era for schools technology and the way we learn. With the use of this technology many students will comprehend and understand what they are learning with Internet, software, etc. How can this school environment be formed? What will it take?

Not only will this environment take a lot of hard work, but a lot of money will be needed. The supplies needed are very impressive and these great improvements are:
-one laptop per student desk (cart of 25)
-a teacher laptop
-a printer/scanner
-imaging software
-productivity software
-a web cam
-an electronic whiteboard
-a projector
-up to three digital still cameras (per eligible school)
-up to five digital video cameras (per eligible school)
-Infrastructure (wireless network, servers)
-technical support

These improvements will be made for every core class and subject, but also will help students with there work and become more experienced with technology.

UK gets the iPhone

I happened to be looking at a great article about the UK. "O2 wins iPhone contract in the UK "
Phones, texting, and the Internet. Is there anything else we Americans can give to other countries around the world. Just four to five hours ago the UK signed a contract letting them open up a wireless connection with Cingular to have the Apple iPhone. We are showing the world how to use technology and by the year 2031 the whole world will have technology just like us. Not only do we have the latest and most expensive stuff but are they really all that important to us or just because they cost a lot and look cool. Think about how much money could our country have if we had never bought phones, computer's, and wireless network.

When we came out with cell phones everyone wanted them. Then out came four different services and phones. Everything new that comes out more and more Americans have to buy it. Next time you see something you want to buy stop and think do i need this?
